Back in the big chair after a jaunt to the Southwest. All over the map tonight
on the Boudin Barndance. We remembered singer Sammi Smith who passed away early
last week. Spotlight the fine new release from Rex Hobart & the Misery Boys
titled "Epty House". More cool country sounds from this solid outfit. Other
new releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included Elvis
Costello (a rather related entry), Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion, Shooter
Jennings, and Dave Insley. On the reissue front, broke out the 2nd installment
from Koch-Nashville of Johnny Paycheck Little Darlin' sides titled "On His Way".
Buttshaker of the night???? Charlie Feathers takes top dog honors with
"Stutterin' Cindy". Now onto the goods.....
