Felt a touch like winter out there tonight, so it was up to the Boudin Barndance to warm the cockles of everyone's hearts. No doubt the Alabama Shakes kicked up some warming. Remembered a couple of fallen heroes on tonight's program, that being Boston-based honky tonker John Lincoln Wright who passed over the weekend and the great soul singer Howard Tate who moved on late last week. New or recent releases making their Barndance debut this evening included recordings from Robert Earl Keen, Honey Honey, Bonnie Prince Billy, Wussy, Reigning Sound (a free album download from scionav.com), and those aforementioned Alabama Shakes. Buttshaker of the week???? Reigning Sound with "Lyin' Girl." Now let's all grab a cold one and get to the goods....
