Back in the Boudin Barndance saddle tonight after a week off touring Vermont and Maine. Picked up some cool vinyl on the trip and was all set to play a bunch until arriving in the studio to find only a single working turntable. Suffice to say, it deflated the vinyl high. For the most part, it was an odds & ends night on the Barndance. Did feature a few songs from Jon Langford who plays a house concert on Sunday hosted by yours truly where he'll be joined by the lovely Jean Cook. A whole bunch of new releases making their Barndance debut this evening including albums from Amy Speace, Kim Richey, Will Courtney (of Brother & Sisters fame), Denver, James Hunter Six, Ronnie Earl & the Broadcasters, Shannon McNally, Tom Jones, Steve Martin & Edie Brickel, The Wheeler Brothers, Ken Atkins & the Honky Tonk Kind, Mark Edgar Stuart, and the Old 97s/Waylon Jennings Record Store Day special double 45 set. Buttshaker of the night???? We give it to the James Hunter Six with "Chicken Switch". Now letís all grab a cold one and get to the goods....
