Local heroes BROWN BIRD need your help to help defray Dave Lambís medical expenses. Dave has just recently been diagnosed with leukemia. Visit www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/brown-bird-needs-your-help/60153 to help!
A busy night on the Boudin Barndance this evening. Previewed a couple of upcoming events. First up was Joe Fletcher & J.P. Harris who are on tour together and make a stop at the Columbus Theatre in Providence tomorrow night. The show is a benefit for Dave Lamb of Brown Bird, so get your butts out there and support it! Also previewed the Solid Sound Festival (www.solidsoundfestival.com) happening the weekend of June 21-23 at MassMOCA in North Adams, MA. Frankly speaking, it is one of the best I've been to and I've been to plenty. Very recommended. Celebrated a whole bunch of birthdays, mostly of the country artist variety. New releases making the Barndance hit parade for the initial time included albums from Slaid Cleaves, Houndmouth, Randall Bramblett, Rita Hoskins, Eric Brace & Peter Cooper, and The Relatives (who appear at Solid Sound!). Buttshaker of the night???? Birthday boy Freddie Fender with "Que Mala". Now letís all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods....
