This playlist was the neurotic demon lovechild of every genre of music you sort of investigated when you were in high school, and it was fucking awesome. Notable happenings on this week's show included coinage of a new phrase "check a listen", a bit of dicey stutterstepping about some quite stringent FCC regulations, and an explanation of the difference between trehnchcoat-weird and astronomy-weird.
Also, these songs:

Since it snowed on Halloween, you may as well just give up on the rest of the year right now. Don't fight against the cold. Just quit. It'll be ok. There's nobody keeping score for these sorts of things and if there is, you're a beautiful person anyway, and I am sure they will forgive you, so please just give in.
Without a great muching muchness of much ado about nothing, this was the Halloween playlist, perfect to clear a room at the end of the night. Because surf rock is not just weird, surf rock is fucking weird, and krautrock can be scary, too. Not that this is a bad thing. In fact, that there is quite a good thing weighed on many scales worth your measuring.

I think the turtle drowning signifies mastery swallowing whole the man who is too much adapted to the world around him. I think the drowning turtle drowned, and that as he was dying, the playlist below ran through his mind because he was the coolest turtle in the world and knew about all sorts of cool music that he liked to share with all of the other, less cool turtles. And so those other turtles who did not actively seek out new music would frequently through him hear songs such as:
1) "I know what I am" by Band of Skulls
2) "Post Helando Madness" by Little Deadman
3) "Kracked" by Dinosaur Jr.
4) "Cheated Hearts" by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs

But those less cool turtles won't be second-handing these kinds of bitching hot tracks anymore, because that turtle with good music drowned. He -died-.
